Awards and accolades

• 2000 began annual holiday Secrest concerts-attended by 12-1500 Muskingum and other county audience members annually.  Also live broadcast yearly on Z92, WHIZ fm radio station and online across the world.
• 2001 ASCAP (American Society for Composers, Authors and Publishers)- award for Adventurous programming, YMCA/YWCA women of achievement award for Maestra Schumann
• began string quartet outreach concerts in the elementary schools 2006/7 evolved into Alato trio visits (see below)
• 2009 grant from Longaberger- create symphony prevideo for alato trio school visits —has 30k views, accessible from seoso website
• Alato trio in school concerts provided annually since 2009 for 3 to 4000 children annually
• 2011 Michelle Obama letter for our childrens concert involving aerobics with the symphony
